VoiceThread
VoiceThread has often been refered to as a “group audio blog.” This free tool allows students to record text and audio comments about uploaded images. Voicethread has two distinct advantages for classrooms that are communicating and collaborating:
- Voicethread is asynchronous, meaning that students can listen to or create presentations at any time
- Voicethread is engaging because it gives students something interesting to talk about-pictures!

- A single educator license allows for the creation of up to 50 student accounts (no email address required)
- No software download is required.
- When creating VoiceThreads, be sure to respect Copyright guidelines
- Teachers may choose to moderate comments of students before allowing them to be posted for a VoiceThread
- A VoiceThread app is available for iPad, iPod Touch, and iPhone
